It's been about 4 years since I built my last system and looking to
now build a new system. A bit confused about all the chipsets out
there now and which one is the latest and greatest. I am going to be
buying a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Processor. First got stuck on the
NVidia N580 chipsets and going to stay away from that. I'm looking at
Intel chipset based boards and see P965 based, and P695X, P35, P31,
G33, G31 based motherboards. Very confusing. If one was buying the
before mentioned processor and an Intel based motherboard, which one
would you go with? I'm not sure if the N580 is a good option as I
hear mixed comments on them and have always found going with Intel
based infrastructure provides a more stable system. Thanks for your
input.

The P35 (or G33, with onboard-VGA) is current.
