Greetings,

I've just purchased an HP 4100n (refurbished) and I'm not sure which
drivers to install on XPSP2:

HP Universal Print Driver for Windows-PCL6 v3 28Nov06 17MB

HP Universal Print Driver for Windows-PostScript v3 28Nov06 16.2MB

HP Laserjet 4100 PCL6 Driver v4.27.4100.441 23Jul04 3.3MB

HP Laserjet 4100 Postscript Driver v3.08 5Apr02 .16MB

On the website it explains that the Universal Drivers are primarily for IT
so they don't have to install many drivers.

I'm going to be installing at home on a wirless network with the printer
plugged into a Linksys Router and it will be accessed my two Windows XP, 1
Mac OS X, and 1 Mac OS 9.2.2

Would I be better off installing the Universal drivers (more recent) or the
4100 specific drivers?

Thanks, Mark

The last two are more likely to support the unique features of the
printer, and they are much smaller. Try them out.

A printer-specific driver is preferable.

Thanks Warren.
