Which Graphics card for around £100??

Hi

I am looking to upgrade my GeForce 4 MX440-SE (64MB) card as it just doesn't 'cut the mustard' with the newer games that are available. Unfortunately my budget is somewhat compromised and I really cant afford to spend much more than £100. The amount of graphics cards out there at the moment is mind boggling therefore any advice would be greatly appreciated.

im gonna assume you have an AGP 8X slot ? you can get a 9800 pro for about £90
 
I can second that too - 9800 Pro's are a good bargain at the moment :)
 
The 9800 is a great card but so is this 6600 i fit them in customers machines all the time and they go like stink handle any game you care to throw at them, and just that little bit faster than the 9800 pro....

I have AGP Version 2.0 and it says Transfer rate 4x and max. supported 4x

Will the ATI 9800 still work?
 
i think the 9800 pro is compatible but it wont work at full speed, a 9600 series may be better as they aren't so expensive and are capable of playing most games
