The first one just shades it for me.

I wouldn't touch any MX cards with a 10 mile barge pole. They are, quite
frankly, crap. I have the 64MB version in an HP and it's *NOT* a gaming
card - the 3D 2001 score is abysmal. The fact that the one you're looking at
has double the RAM isn't going to make one iota of difference to the
benchmark score.

Of course, I don't know whether you're a gamer or not, but I thought I'd
mention it in case you were.

Bench marks;-) Rely on other hardware as well! Bench marks are
trigonometrically markings for measuring altitude as well:-0

What's your opinion of a Radion? 9600 Pro?

And what else is there to go on? All gaming mags I've ever read test cards
with 3D Mark. The 9600 is slightly worse than the 9500 (seriously, people
often think that, just because the number is higher, it should be better,
but it isn't.)

I have a 9800 Pro and I love it. I am not a serious gamer (apart from
marathon RTS sessions!) and it's all I've ever wanted in a graphics card.

Don't buy a card just for the sake of having the best. Yes, IMNSHO, the
9800XT is the dog's danglies, but if you're never going to utilise it fully,
what's the point?!

And, yes, I'm a sworn nVidia hater. The core GPU hasn't been modified in
yonks - and Radeons are better for overclocking (not that I do, but they
are). Plus, Radeons have excellent community support - I use third party
drivers (Omega to be precise) and they're better than the Catalyst. I've yet
to see any 3rd party nVidia drivers.

LOL, I guess you're not counting the OMEGA nVidia drivers?

It's just a video card... if it causes you to "hate" then you might need
some medication.

Well I'am a gamer & I'm looking for a quite strong cheap card ;-)

But do you think a radeon9200 or 9200SE (whats the diffrence?) are better to
buy then any (quite cheap) nVidia cards? Or maybe you know of some other
models that are better and are at similar price? ;-)

Well roger me with a broomhandle and call me Aloysius - I didn't know there
were any!

You know exactly what I meant, young David! Don't be so damned facetious!
