Which FP File?

I will be moving to a new computer. I know from previous times that I will
lose the publishing info from FP when I do. (This is where my web site is
compared to what is on my computer and the difference is published) Is there
anyway of saving this info, which file or files is it?

Thanks Mike

If youy save the web to a folder, you can import it with the New Web|Import
Web Wizard. That will set up the server extensions.

I had the same problem once. Fixed it using the same solution.

If the live/remote site has the FP extensions, open the site from within FP on the new PC and then
publish a copy back to this new PC.

Thanks for the reply. So can I save this to a CD disk? Then carry it over
to the new computer?

Mike

I have never done this before, yes my site does have FP extensions. How
exactly do I publish a copy back to the new computer?

Mike

File Menu | Open Web / Site then enter http://www.yourdomainname.com then your login info, then
click ok, then open, then File Menu | Publish Web / Site and enter c:\foldername (a one word name of
a folder to hold your web site content).
