I am running win98SE, with no excel or office products.
And, there are some excel spreadsheets that I would like
to run. I imagine that the best would be to download
excel? Is that excel 97? Do I need to get all office,
or can I just get excel? Where can I get it?
regards,
bill

Hi
Excel 97 - Excel 2003 should run without a problem. You can get a
standalone Excel. For old versions you may look into ebay

You can purchase Excel 2002 separately. If you qualify as a student or
teacher you may find that Office XP for Students and Teachers for about the
same price. Office XP and Excel 2002 have been replaced by Office 2003 and
Excel 2003. However, Office 2003 programs are not compatible with Windows
98 SE. You may have to look for the prior versions, but you can still buy
from places like Amazon.com

If you only need to view the spreadsheets and perhaps copy information, then
the free Excel viewer may be all you need. You can find the viewer here:

This viewer also works for later versions of Excel.

Recommend, for your purposes, excel 97sr2. Look at Ebay for excel or office.
Make sure you get a LEGAL copy and if you can't get sr2, maybe?? you can
still get the sr2 update disc from MS.??

I use xl2002 with win98.

xl2003 requires win2k or winxp--it won't run under win98.
