Which ethernet connection do I use?

Hi
I have a ASUS MB that has two ethernet connections: one is a NVIDIA MCP
networking adapter and the other is a 3COM intergarated fast network adapter.
When I connet the 3COM it also shows a 1394 net adapter also being connected;
although there are just the two j4 sockets. Can anyone give me a break down
on how this system works and if there is a perferred setup? Thanks.

I have an Asus A7N8X Deluxe ver 2 M/B and the same two ethernet adapters
(built in of course).

Please use the NVIDIA MCP adapter as it seems to be faster and uses less
resources than the 3Com adapter. Also, and this is a biggie, the drivers for
the NVIDIA MCP adapter are installed along with the rest of the M/B drivers.
To install the 3Com drivers you have to install a separate download from
Asus (or from the Asus CD).

Yes, you will have a 1394 net adapter installed, as there is one built in to
the M/B. If you don't want this you must turn off the option in the bios.
