You will have to check which formats your standalone DVD players likes
best.... www.videohelp.com

Hi Cari
Well i use the + DVD at home but i want to make DVD's for my kids and they
all have different brands,so i wanted to know which would work in most
brands.
Thanks Cari

DVD-R being the 'most common' format is highly debatable, even from the info
given on videohelp.com

The 'most compatible' format is to use DVD+R and change the booktype to
DVD-ROM (which you
CANNOT DO using DVD-R).

Also, checkout http://www.afterdawn.com/ for more specific info.
