Which drivers to use?

I have an old PIII-933 in the basement that I want to install Windows 98SE
on. I bought my first-ever Sapphire video card for it, a Radeon 9250 (AGP)
128-bit version. It's nothing out of the ordinary, it just has standard VGA
and DVI connectors. I went to Sapphire's website, and while the Catalyst
6.2 drivers are listed for Windows 98SE, the download link is not working.
Is it perfectly OK for me to use the reference drivers from ATI's website
rather than maybe wait for Sapphire to release their own drivers? What is
the general experience of Sapphire owners using ATI reference drivers on
their cards? Thanks!

Sapphire to ATi is like Visiontek to nVidia in the old days. I don't think
Sapphire even bothers branding its drivers, instead pointing to the ATi
reference drivers.

Yeah, they were pretty quick getting them out the door. I think all they
probably did was make it so that it says "Sapphire Radeon 9250" rather than
just "Radeon 9250". They did e-mail me back and said it was OK for me to
use the reference drivers from ATI.
