which cheap laser printer?

I have an old Panasonic KX-P6150 (300 dpi, 6 pages/min), which (i think)
needs developing unit to be replaced - i get "dirty paper" like output...
SO, since developing unit comes more expensive than whole pritner, i wonder,
which one to buy. some of the models i found are:
HP 1020, Samsung ML-1610, Epson EPL-6200L, Minolta pagepro 1350W...

i wonder...which one have cheapest toner-developing unit? like old
anasonic - i needed torepalce only toner not whole unit...and HP -
replacement unit comes almost as whole new printer...
and i won't be printing much...to be honest, mostly on photo paper for
making home-made PCB's...it needs to be 600 dpi (or more)...

so, an advice please...

I use an El cheapo Samsung ML1510 I got for that very purpose, it'
also used along side the Canon ip5000 as a main printer, the laser a
had a couple or refills to date

To give you an idea of which models are easily rfillable take a pee
at-: http://www.refill-toner.co.uk/index.htm, also shows you how it
done

Well down to gritty nitty.. To make PCB's

1) I can use an ink/bubblejet, use overhead transparency for ink o
buuble jet do two prints (one in reverse) and glue the back to bac
with the printed side outwards, this method calls for uV exposur

Which as you know can be temperamental even with different batche
along with having the correct temperature of the developer

2) My preferance is using PnP (Press & Peel) toner transfer paper
this is the iron on type that has an enamel coating.

I have only been looking at various other methods recently and that i
using a laser and printing the design on xcertain HP photo paper, fro
memory I think it mentioned the one with a geen pack or code on it

Problem is certain types of paper will leave pin-holes which you don'
want as you can appreciate

Now for a crazy thought...
I recently posted something similar recently, I was making a CD desig
with the Canon ip5000 and it occurred to me the CD and PCB ar
approxiamately the same thickness, so what would the result be if
inserted a round PCB instead of a CD... will it won't it.

One day when I get the time I will get round to trying it, can alweay
buy a El' Cheapo printer to try and convert

I would imagine the feed problem would be a peice of cake compared t
the programming - but would the ink survive the bath

BTW.. I found 600dpi to be sufficient, but the more toner you can la
the better as you will appreciate and yet to get round to tryin
inkjet photo paper as described
