At the moment I have a GeForce Fx 5200 128MB (128bit) and it srtuggles with
todays games such as Devastation and Chaser usally hanging around 40fps but
often dipping too around 17-20fps but with 2xAA and 4xAF it usally hangs
around 20fps and dipping to 1-2fps. Anyway i'm on a very stict buget of £200
i absolutley can not afford to go over. I saw this on OCUK Sapphire ATI
Radeon 9700 128MB DDR DVI/TV - Retail (GX-008-SP) what do you guys think of
it? Is there a faster card than then 9700np? How does the 9700np perform,
how much performance increase would I get (rough %)? and how would it
perform in tomorrows games?

If you can stretch to £210, Savastore.com are doing the Connect3D 9800np's
for ..£210 :-D

If not, the 9700np is the fastest card under £200 without a doubt. I think
the extra money is justified, the R350 features a few enhancements to the
hyperZ III engine which will improve performance in Doom3 and other games
utilising stencil shadows, along with a slight improvement in AA
performance.

There's not much in it, but I'd pay the extra £10.. thinking about getting
one myself, tekheads.co.uk are doing the Sapphire 9800's for £216, and the
9700's for £190 :)

For comparative UT2k3 benchmarks between them check this out:
