Hi everyone .
I have small workgroup in my office network ( include 1 Win XP Pro ,4 Win XP
Home , 1 Win 2000 pro and 2 Win ME.
I use the DVD -writer for for all mail and files backup. But it is getting
irritating .Every fridak i have to do it.

Anyway now i would like to buy Tape Backup unit (DAT or DLT ). But i don't
know which backup program i should use. As i know if you wana use Tape
backup unit that you need Windows Server system , am i correct?
My question is ,can i use any backup software for windows xp workgroup

No - NTBackup is in WinXP as well. It isn't installed by default in XP Home,
but can be installed from the Home cd if you wish.

There are third party backup apps for workstations, but I haven't used any.
NTBackup is pretty good.

No matter what you choose, it would be a lot easier to do your backups if
everyone stores all their data on only one of the workstations as an ersatz
"server" rather than trying to back up other machines across the network.
