Hi,

I have a RAGE PRO TURBO AGP (ATI card) working on my old PC with WIN98. It
is saying type of bus AGP 1x.

If I look in the bios at startup, there is a mention of AGP 2x = disabled.
AGP aperture = 64M.

Does that mean that my mother board supports AGP 2x but the ATI card is only
AGP 1x.?

Thanks

Richard

You can try enabling it and see if the motherboard will accept 2x. But the
only real way to find out is to look at the specs of the motherboard and see
what the manufacturer's say.

If you get hold of one of the free programs which tell you
everything you ever wanted to know about your system, it'll tell
you what AGP your mobo supports.

SIW is probably the very best currently available:
http://www.gtopala.com/

Just d/l it and drop it into any folder and run it - no install
necessary.

Probably. But as long as you don't say anything about *what* PC you have
we can just guess.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your replies.

I found out at the soyo web site that the 5EH5/5EHM, all have "1 x 32 bit
AGP slot (v1.0 compliant) AGP 1x/2x"

From the internet, found RAGE PRO TURBO AGP of 2M, 4M, 8M some agp 1x,
some agp 2x.

The important aspect, is the soyo capacity.

Reguards
