Hi,
I am seeking advice to purchase the best A3 ink jet printer for CADD
applications (Autocad, Microstation).
Please advice,
Regards,

Epson have never removed the A2 printer the 1550 from their line up despite
this being one of the first printers it brought out.
Why BECAUSE IT IS THE BEST CAD PRINTER ON THE MARKET.

I can't be sure if this is what was meant, but take a look:

The 1520 only has a live print area of 13.6 inches wide! Yes it takes 17 inch
wide paper, but has huge borders. You will want to look for an Epson 3000 or
stylus pro 7000,7500,7600 or wider with the stylus pro 9000,9500,9600, or the
more expensive 10000,10600. The 3000 has a 16.x inch wide print area, the
7xxx is 23.x inch wide, and the 9xxx & 10xxx is 43.x inches wide. Some models
are borderless, some have a 1/4 inch border or so.

HP makes a few wide format inkjets aimed at CADD which are pretty cheap now.
Also look for used Encad printers.
