Not sure about the reliability of the Novatech brand  But it is a better spec machine than the Tosh.

The warrnaty seems quite resonable aswell at only £40.

If push came to shove then I would seriously consider the Nova if I heard good reports on reliability and service levels.

The Toshiba has the better CPU, but obviously less RAM and HDD - but you could always upgrade the RAM yourself ( around £50 from crucial for a 512MB module)

You should also consider this from Lenovo for £612 which has the T5500 C2D CPU and a larger 80GB HDD, but again you will need to upgrade the RAM from 512 to 1GB (£48.16 delivered from Crucial)

If you are going to choose between the Toshiba and Novatech - I would pick the Toshiba and upgrade the RAM - but personally I would pick the Lenovo + RAM upgrade :thumb:

EDIT: THIS may help you to understand the differences between the various notebook CPU's :)

Will probably go for the Toshiba, But the Lenovo has put a small spanner in the works!;)

Remember Lenovo is the new name/manufacturer of the old IBM Thinkpads - top quality tough notebooks, just ask Quad ;)
