Are you telling me that I no longer have a convenient shortcut bar in
OE/Windows Mail? That I'm stuck with this expanded tree mess? Gawd, what
inbred mutants concluded the shortcut bar couldn't make the final cut?

And don't get me started on the lack of the F3 search... quick, could search
titles or bodies, now I get this overpowering search mess that doesn't
work - I've seen it punt numerous searches.

Please, tell me I've just goofed it up and missed where to get back the
Outlook Bar...

Sorry, but you haven't goofed up

This to me is about to be a deal killer - the folder list is a mess, I have
numerous accounts and it's just unnavigable without a shortcut bar I can
customize. Is there a beta group/forum where I can let them know how
critical this simple, and previously available, feature is?

No. WinMail is a released program. No beta newsgroups or forums are left.
Apparently WYSIWYG. Have you looked at Thunderbird?

I really wanted to keep my mail and newsgroups through a single interface...
I move between them an awful lot. Something of a quandry I'm afraid...
