blah blah.. The catch is that it is CRAP.

Found this on the "Rules" page so I've gone from definitely having won to a
10,000 to 1 chance.

"During registration, a 10 digit random number is assigned to the entrant.
After every 10,000 entrants, our computer will generate a 10 digit random
number which will be matched against the numbers in our entries. The entrant
with the number matching our random number will be declared as the winner of
the prize. If there are more than one matching number, our computer will
pick the winner randomly from the matching numbers. Odds of winning each
prize are determined by the number of eligible entries received. Winners
will be notified by email or by phone. Prize Bounty will attempt to contact
winners via email a maximum of three (3) times within five (5) business days
of the drawing."

What do YOU give up/sacrifice in the way of personal information or computer
security? Don't you know a "come on" when you see it?

Hey, maybe you got lucky (probably not, but maybe). Follow the
instructions on the email message and see where it takes you. Whatever you
do, read over anything you have to agree to very carefully. If you're truly
a winner, you shouldn't have to pay anything (including an exaggerated
shipping charge). Therefore, they have no need for your credit card number
or any other financial information (even to supposedly verify who you are).
In the end, I suspect it is a come on to either buy another product, somehow
pay for this one, or, like you suspect, to get you to register for another
drawing (probably after buying something). But, you never know, this one may
be ligit - after all, they may think a giveaway to Santa would make a good
ad campaign. :-)
