I need to remove a password from a database in Access 2007. Everything I can
find on how to do this states that I need to press the Decrypt Database
button under Database Tools. However, where that button should be, my Access
shows a button that says Set Database Password. When I press that, it only
lets me change the password, not delete it. I tried leaving it blank, but
the Ok button is disabled until I type something. Anybody seen this before?
Please help.

jsilvers,

You will need to open that database in Access 2003 or whatever version it
was created in as Access 2007 supports the security (as long as your
database is in .MDB format) but not all the bells and whistles you're going
to need to remove the password.

Now, once ou are in the correct version of Access, what steps *exactly* are
you following?
