Hi - I am new to Vista. I am installing an application and it asks me,
where to put its data files.
Under XP I used to place these under C:\Documents and
Settings\<user>\Application Data\<app_name>\...
In Vista, I found the directory C:\Users\<user>\AppData, but in that
directory there are three subdirectories "Local", "LocalLow" and
"Roaming".
I found, that some of the already installed apps placed their data in
Local and some under Roaming (and none in LocalLow), but I can see no
pattern, here. What are these 3 subdirs meant for and in which of them
should I place my apps data?
