Where to get VM?

How do I get Microsoft VM onto my computer?

I read thru the MS knowledge base, which says VM may not
be supplied with XP, so I followed the instructions and
got a message suggesting that I don't have even an old
version of VM on my machine, and that I need to get it
from an independant supplier. Any suggestions where to get
it?

If it makes a difference, I do have Java 2v1.4.0 on my
computer. Apparently I need to uncheck this in my IE
advanced options, and then check the 3 boxes that should
appear if I can install VM, in order for certain software
to work.

The funny thing is, this software worked before and I
thought I had VM before. But I had to put in a new hard
drive and re-install XP. So maybe I lost it during that
process.

Anyway, anyone know where to get VM?

Thanks

I have already installed the latest XP service pack and
all critical updates. But that won't help me if VM was not
included in my original XP install (so says the MS
knowledge base).

Is there a difference between Java VM and MS VM? Will the
website you mentioned allow me to download Microsoft VM?

Thank you
