Hi there,

I am running XPsp2. I have also gone to the update.microsoft.com website as
given in these instructions:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx

Problem is...there is no Windows Movie Maker installed on my machine, and
Windows Update does not list it as an option to download (it is not listed in
High Priority nor Software Optional). I have also clicked on 'Restore hidden
udpates' but nothing appears.

Short of ordering a CD from MS, does anyone know have any insight as to what
may be going on here?

Thanks in advance,
David

Go to...Start / Run...type..."moviemk.exe"...
press...Enter. If Movie Maker is installed
it should launch.

If Movie Maker does not launch...the following
links may be useful:

What can I do if I upgrade to Windows
XP SP2 and Windows Movie Maker 2.1
is not installed successfully?

Next step...you might try downloading
and reinstalling Win XP SP2:

Download Windows XP SP2

Generally, users install from the net but this
site allows you to download the complete
file to your hard drive before installing.

It's good for a network administrator because
you can burn it on a CD and install it on as
many computers as you need to.

And it's good for a single machine because
if you ever need to install it again...you'll have
it available without waiting for a download.
