I have a BTX motherboard and processor but need a fan. Where do I get one of
those in Australia? I can't find one anywhere.

Thanks,
Michael

Thermaltake makes some BTX coolers. Here's where they say you can buy
in AUS:

I was fairly disappointed by a couple of cheapshit HD coolers I bought
of theirs, but wouldn't necessarily judge them for it. After all, what
should I have expected for less than $5 apiece?

The cooler has little to do with the platform type, choose
based on socket type.

Since BTX is meant to use the inflow chassis fan to cool the
'sink and since a hunk of metal (sink) isn't very prone to
failure, might I enquire what your goal is?

If it's only a matter of having a 'sink and no way to strap
a fan onto it, if you drill the appropriate sized holes you
can strap the (any typical framed type) fan on with nylon
wire ties.

I have 2 BTX boards I bought in a large auction lot that owe me nothing. If
I can get a heatsink and fan cheapish then it will be worthwhile. I don't
need a case.

That I have considered.

I still don't see what you're looking for. Do you need the
heatsink itself? Since the fan isn't on the heatsink but
rather the chassis, a standard chassis fan is easily enough
found. If you only need a passive CPU 'sink, seek an OEM
part specific to some BTX system from Dell/etc as they are
the largest /users/ of these.
