"I would like to know where I can find DSCLIENT 2003". For which version of
Windows? The Windows 2000 CD obviously has the client for use on Windows
95, 98, and NT(4). There isn't one for Windows ME; see:

Directory Services Client Is Not Included with Windows Me

The following KB article:

HOW TO: Install the Active Directory Client Extension
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=288358

has a link to the download under its "Acquiring the DSClient" section.

The version I'm looking for is Windows 98

The version on the link below is for NT 4.

There are versions on windows 2000 server CD for W95, W98, WNT but the
acticle said "dont use DSCLIENT version that came with Windows 2000 cd-rom"

Thank you

The link in the mentioned KB article that is shown as:

Active Directory Client Extensions for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4.0
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/server/evaluation/news/bulletins/adextension.asp

says DSCLIENT is for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4.0 clients.

The KB article mentioned (the second one) says:

"The DSClient for Windows 95 and Windows 98 is available on any Windows 2000
Server, Advanced Server, or DataCenter CD-ROM."

So you get the DSCLIENT for Windows 95/98 off the Win2K Server CD. It shows
the link to get the WinNT 4.0 version of DSCLIENT and yet that page has no
download link. My guess is you are supposed to use the same DSCLIENT from
the Windows 2000 CD that it says is for Windows 95/98 and also use it for
WinNT 4.0.

I did find the following which does have a download link (but still says it
is for Windows 95/98 and WinNT 4.0):

Active Directory Extension for Windows NT 4.0
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...cc-ec00-4c98-ba61-fd98467952a8&displaylang=en

The KB 555038 article you mentioned does say to not use the DSCLIENT.exe
that comes on the Windows 2000 CD (when using Windows 2003 as the server
instead of Windows 2000). So, are you saying that the Windows 2000 CD came
with a copy of dsclient.exe for use with it but there is no dsclient.exe
included on the Windows 2003 for use with that server version of Windows?
Since no download link or reference is made in that KB article, it must
assume that dsclient is on the Windows 2003 CD.
