where to download java runtime

I know this is off topic but one of the third party
components I bought demands it. It's the 14 megabyte
version. I'm sorry if this irritatees the rest of you,
but I don't know in what other newsgroup to ask the
question. I only look at microsoft newsgroups.

My gosh am I embarrassed. I did a google search on java
runtime download and got umpteen sources. Downloaded and
installed. Grin.

Looking at the Java newsgroups would be a good bet...

However, basically go to java.sun.com and go to the download section.
It shouldn't be hard to find.
