Where things are on Vista

We bought a new machine that came with Vista. At first blush it looks
like new skins on Win2K with a few things given new names. For
instance, "Documents and Settings" is now "Users". But under a
specific User, the standard Desktop, Documents, etc are there, but where
is AppData? I found a version under Program Files, but that doesn't
seem right because it doesn't roam, does it?

Where are Boot.ini, ntdetect.com and bootldr? I tried using attrib to
unhide these things but they don't seem to be there. Can someone please
set me straight on these matters? TIA
