Hi all,

My old laptop just died, so I bought a hard drive enclosure to transfer my
old files, but I can't seem to find them. I had one folder on my old laptop
that I was pretty sure was kept on the C: drive. I created the folder by
right clicking on the desktop and hitting "new" and stored everything in that
new folder.

Does anyone know the command path to find this folder?

Thanks

These will be subfolders of your account's Desktop folder.

However, keep in mind that it's possible that you may see an "access denied"
message, in which case you just need to Take Ownership of the folders (or
the complete disk). Google "Take Ownership XP" for details, and note that
the method can vary depending on XP version- the method for XP Home is not
the same as for XP Pro.

To find the folder, paste the following command into the Run box:

%UserProfile%\Desktop\

ju.c
