I stupidly downloaded the "NEW" version of Windows Music
Media Window 9. I used to be able to record my old-very-
old tapes (don't have any LPs) onto CDs using my anolog
recorder on my computer. (It came with it already
installed)
Now what? Can I some how get it back? I knew there was
something wrong when I went to the "Help" in the tool
bar. Everything was different. I had more on my Windows
Media before I downloaded the (Newest-biggest-better
version) yea right!
One of the features when I bought this computer was that
little option. Record old LPs and tapes.
HELP! Is there anything I can do?

As you found out Windows Media Player 9 does not access analog devices. You
need to install an additional program to record from analog devices.
Microsoft has one in their Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition {under $20
US}. You can find others by doing a Google search.
