Is anyone using WinPE? I would think it would be a little bit more documnted
than it is. Also, where the heck do you get it? It seems to be a big secret.
I would like to use WinPE for deployment of my images in the field. Anyone
have any information on it? It looks like i need to by an OEM builder license
to create a WinPE CD???? Anyone know how much that is?

Thanks,
Tim

Lewis,

The instructions talk about using the command "MK cds". Where do i get this
command? I thought it was a WinPE OPK thing.

I had the same issue, when I purchased the XP emedded tool kit from our MS
OEM, I got nine cd's but never got a WINPE cd. Upon calling them, they of
course claimed they are just a middle man,(it comes straight from MS) so
they just sent my a copy of WINPE. I'd talk to your OEM

Win PE is a Seperate OEM Preinstallation Kit... your embedded Distributor
can order it for you... it's free by the way. (so is the licensing) If they
can't get it for you, contact me OL, and I can point you in the right
direction.

Disk 1 of the XPE toolkit CD is a bootable WinPE image, however all of the
options aren't in there.

HTH,
JC
