I have downloaded the service pack 3 of Windows2000
Professional. However, I did not find the update.exe and
when I typed update.exe, it 's not a valid command. If I
really want to use update.exe to apply service pack, how
should I do that? Typing update.exe in the dos prompt is
not a valid command.

Please help.

Hi John,

Update.exe should be in the I386\Update folder.

Hi John,

The file you receive if you perform a network download from the Microsoft Web server
is a compressed w2ksp3.exe file. To install the service pack by double-clicking the
update.exe file in the I386\Update folder you will first have to uncompressed w2ksp3
into a temporary folder using the extract command: w2ksp3.exe -x

For more information on Command-Line Options for w2ksp3.exe, see:

Service Pack 3 Installation and Deployment Guide
