I want Outlook to start when Windows starts. I can't find a startup folder
in which to copy the Outlook executable into. Any suggestions?

Right click on the Start button and select Open. From there open the
Programs folder and you should see a Startup folder inside that. Place a
shortcut (not the actual executable) to Outlook in that folder and it will
start each time you log on to Windows.

Wouldn't be surprised if Vista now makes you do the following (from memory):

Start->regedit (type it)
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERS, Software, Microsoft, Widows, Current Version, Run
Add a key there with the name of the program, and the path to run the
program.

Log out and log in see if it starts.

Hi,
First unhide hidden files then go to C:\Program Data\Microsoft\Windows\Start
Menu\Programs\Start Up

Yeah, that's wise.
Tell somebody who cannot even find a common, standard folder on their Start
Menu that they have to edit the registry.

Isn't that:
C:\Users\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up ?
