Hello,

I keep seeing reference being made to a falling snow effect in the Windows
Movie Maker 2 Winter Fun Pack, but I can't find it for the life of me. It's
not in the Videos folder of Fun Pack. All that contains is: Happy Holidays,
Happy New Year LONG, Happy New Year SHORT, Made With Movie Maker 2, Season's
Greetings SNOWBALL, Season's Greetings SNOWMAN and Wishing. No falling
snow! And it's not in any of the transitions or effects of WMM2, which I
think someone said it would be once Fun Pack is installed. What am I
missing? Where is the snow?

Thanks,

Grant

Thanks for the reply.

I have three folders within the Winter Fun Pack folder: Music & Sound
Effects, Pictures, and Videos. Snowflakes is in none of them. Where
exactly do I find these Video Effects you refer to please?

Thanks,

Grant

As I said in my original message, it's not in MM. All I have in Video
Effects are the 28 original effects that came with MM. No snowflakes.

Are you implying Snowflakes should have been automatically added to MM's
video effects when I installed the Winter Fun Pack on my computer? Did I
need to install Fun Pack in a certain directory or something?

Thanks,

Grant

Yes, I guess I'm saying it should have been installed automatically be the
installation of the Fun Pack. Try another install of it...

Apparently I had an older version of Winter Fun Pack installed. The one I
just downloaded and installed is definitely different...and I have snow now!
Thanks for the help, PapaJohn.

One more question, while we're on a roll. Is there any way to tweak the
settings for Snowflakes and other effects? Is there perhaps a tutorial for
this on your fine website?

Thanks,

Grant

Tweaking settings for effects, transitions, and title overlays is done by
xml files.... the Edit Movies > XML - Persian Section of my website it to
help you get oriented with the xml files... and to get into them deeper from
there, it's the forums at moviemakers.net where users ask for more or
different ones, or help those asking make them.

Thanks! I'll check it out.
