In Exchange 2000, the Public Stores can be replicated to
other servers by adding another to the list of servers to
which the public store is replicated. Where in the Active
Directory are these replication server name properties
stored? Can this be updated using a VB Script?

John,

Not sure that I am following your question here. In WIN2000 Active
Directory each Domain Controller has a writable database called ntds.dit and
Active Directory Replication ensures that all DCs eventually have the same
information.

So, I guess that your question is how does one locate all of the domain
controllers?

You could look in the aduc mmc, specifically in the Domain Controllers OU.
You could also look in the adss mmc. However, these would give you that
answer for each domain and Site, respectively. You could also use repadmin
/showreps or replmon or nltest. You could also use something like adsiedit
or possibly ldifde to locate the DCs. You would simply look for the
userAccountControl value of 532480. There are other values ( like 4096 )
for other servers and machines and users. dsstore might be another way....

There is a way - via scripting - to find all of the Domain Controllers. I
will leave that for someone else to handle as I am not a scripter ( yet! ).

John,
Please excuse my reply. This is what happens when you answer posts at
midnight!
It is not applicable to your question.
