We're running a Windows 2003 network with Windows 2000 and XP client
workstations. A few months back, we started implementing My Documents
folder redirection, so everyone's My Documents is now on the network.
We also have offline folder synchronization turned on, so users can
still access their My Documents even offline. Folder synchronization
occurs when the user logs off.
Here's what I don't get, and can't seem to find anywhere. Where on
earth are the offline files stored locally on the computer? With no
folder redirection the files are typically found in C:\Documents and
Settings\username\My Documents. Once folder redirection is turned on,
that folder ceases to exist. I've seen people make reference to
offline files being saved in the folder CSC or SCS, but neither folder
name seems to exist. If I search for *.doc, the files don't show up.
Does anyone have any idea where they might be?
Thanks!
