In WOrd and Excel 2002 , one of the options on file open was the list of
favorites
In Word / Excel 2003 it has disappeared, and I cannot see how to change the
options to bring it back

File>Open>Tools>Add to My Places Toolbar.

Scroll to your My Favorites folder and double-click.

I have excel 2007 can do not have the add in option in Tools. Is there
another way to create a favorites list?

Mike

Button>Open

On left side is a pane called "my places" or "Look in"

To add Favorites to that pane drill down to your Favorites folder in your
profile.

Right-click and Copy(or Select)

Place cursor in "my places" pane.

Right-click and "Add Favorites"

Works same for any folder you want to add.

Gord;
Thanks for this step-by-step process. I was able to set up the "Favorites "
in "My Place". However, how can I get access to the files in favorites to
open in the same way I did in excel 97. Is there is any way to put
"Favorites" in the menu?

Thanks.

Do not understand your request.

You have added Favorites folder to My Places bar.

When you select Favorites the folder opens and you find and select a file to
open.

What happens at that point?
