Hello,

I am in the market for some new computer memory. I have been to a
couple of different manufacturer sites, but I would really like to be
able to compare prices and specifications of different RAM
manufacturers on one site. Can anyone offer any recommendations?

Thanks

I know of no such site. Hardware review sites like http://anandtech.com/,
http://www.tomshardware.com/ and http://www.hardocp.com/ are decent places
to start. For good quality memory it's very hard to beat Crucial/Micron,
which is ideal for all but overclocking.

www.curucial.com (aka micron) is a manufacturer, and in my experience,
has very good prices. The web site is excellent for identifying what
part you need and what your options are. Crucial is one of the
top-shelf providers of memory parts.

pricewatch.com is good for finding the lowest-possible price for your
memory, once you've identified it. Note that the low-cost-provider
may be a scam artist or someone that you may not want to do business
with, for other reasons.

resellerratings.com is a good place to check the reputation of
a company you've found on pricewatch.com

This is not a place to buy memory online but it is a great place to find out
WHERE to buy it. Virtually anything else in the way of computer hardware
too: http://www.pricewatch.com

I've always bought crucial and they've never did me wrong and their
prices are usually good. Plus you get free 2 day shipping on orders over
$40 atm.

I'm another happy crucial customer. I've used them for everything for
years without a single problem. It's www.crucial.com by the way.

How's Kingston?

Kingston makes good quality RAM, like Crucial/Micron. The have two series,
the Kingston Value RAM and the Hyper X line. The former is a good choice for
machines running within stock specifications. Their warranty support is also
quite good.
