Where is PowerPoint?

My Windows XP Pro came with Service Pack 2 which contains MS WorksSuite. I
have a PowerPoint Presentation that needs to be edited and I can not find the
PowerPoint application. Does MS WorksSuite contain PowerPoint or any other
presentation application?

MS Works Suite does not seem to have any presentation product. It seems to
include PowerPoint Viewer that will allow you to see the slide shows but not
edit them. You will need to purchase Microsoft Office to get PowerPoint.

Or purchase the stand alone version of Microsoft PowerPoint.

How to Buy (Microsoft PowerPoint 2003)

NOTE: Microsoft Office Basic Edition 2003 (which is available only as a preinstalled option from participating
computer manufacturers) DOES NOT include Microsoft PowerPoint 2003.

Or you could download a free open source alternative such as OpenOffice.org which can create, open, edit, and
save Microsoft PowerPoint Presentations (.ppt), Slide Shows (.pps), and Templates (.pot).

You find more information about OpenOffice.org at, well...
http://www.openoffice.org/

The latest stable release (at the time of this post) is OpenOffice.org 1.1.4. You can download it here:
http://download.openoffice.org/1.1.4/

Other downloads can be found here:
http://download.openoffice.org/

And if you need a manual for OpenOffice.org (i.e. an installation manual), you can find them here:
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/

To view PDF files, you need the Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download it here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

OpenOffice.org may not be the best option, but it is an option none the less.

For those users who don't have Microsoft PowerPoint and just need to view a Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation
(.ppt), Slide Show (.pps), and/or Template (.pot), you can download the free Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2003.
Here are some helpful links:

If you are running an earlier version of Windows, can't get Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2003 to install/run,
or if you need to view a Microsoft PowerPoint 95 Presentation (.ppt), Slide Show (.pps), and/or Template
(.pot), then you need to download and install the free Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 97. Here are some helpful

Come back with more information about what's in the show.

Simple text slides/pictures? That'll run fine on any PC you could buy or build
today.

Movies, animations, PPT2007 ... all of that will demand a lot more of the PC.

What Steve said but also....
What other considerations are also important?
Depends where you locate the kiosk. :)

Bolt everything down - remove the keyboard.

Or if you leave the keyboard - disable the Esc key

Does the kiosk require any sort of user input? It so I would strongly
recommend a touch screen with all other input devices locked away.

Do you mean the PowerPoint program, a particular template, or your
PowerPoint presentation? Also, which version of PowerPoint are you using?
