Is it in the file Outlook.PST, along with every other type of Outlook data?
(Unlike Outlook Express, which uses a separate file for each mail folder.)
That's what I thought, but the following happened. I wanted one computer to
have the exact same e-mail in the Inbox and other folders, as well as the
same contact and calendar information etc., as another one. (The second one
was more up to date than the first, so I wanted to sync the first to the
second.
I thought all Outlook info is in the Outlook.PSt file. I copied that file on
computer 2 to a removable disk. I then put that removable drive on the 1st
computer, deleted the original Outlook PST file on that computer , and
copied the PST tile from the removable drive to the correct place on the HD.
Now, when I open Outlook on the computer that was updated, I am surprised to
see that there is only one e-mail in the Inbox, when there are many e-mails
in the Inbox of the other computer! Wouldn't the same PST file on both
computers cause the same e-mail to show on each? Or is Outlook e-mail stored
somewhere else?
Thank you,
Mike
