For all the net user gurus.
Environment: Win 2003 mixed-mode domain running AD with 99% XP SP1
workstations.
Question: I have a username. How do I find the workstation that username is
currently logged on to?
Background: In order to use Remote Assist "offer assistance" I need to know
a Netbios name or IP. This has become more important as I am about to deploy
roaming profiles. Instead of calling the user and having them run "ipconfig
-all" or check properties/computer name of My Computer etc... is there a way
for me to query an AD username and find the netbios/DNS/IP address of the
workstation(s) they are currently logged on to?
Thank you.
