I update my system to XPP+SP3. Then I use the command "systeminfo" show my
machine's information. But it shows only one CPU in my Notebook. Where is my
second CPU?

Your notebook? Laptop?

What is the make and model of your laptop?
Why are you 'expecting' more than one CPU?

If you have a dual core cpu
but device manager has only a single core CPU listed...
a dual core cpu is installed the same way any other device is handled...
simply opt to "update driver"
then select the proper dual core configuration from the list of devices.

I forgot the exact wording
but there should be a choice such as "multi-core processor"

Likely is that you don't have two processors. Likely is that you have a
dual core in ONE processor.

This is a real problem with systeminfo

Although this is an old thread, I believe it points to what is still a current problem.

I recently updated to XP Service Pack 3. Prior to that, systeminfo was correctly showing two CPUs on my Dual-core Lenovo Thinkpad. Since the upgrade, it shows only a single CPU.
System type: X86-based PC
Processor(s): 1 Processor(s) Installed.

[01]: x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 10 GenuineIntel ~1995 Mhz
BIOS Version: LENOVO - 1210
Note that Task Manager, perfmon and Device Manager all correctly show both CPUs.

(Off topic - another problem exists with systeminfo on some copies of Windows XP Service Pack 3: Adding the /FO:CSV switch can cause the systeminfo task to crash. See posts in other forums about this.)
