Where is my recycle bin?

There is no recycle bin icon on my mother desktop. She
has XP Pro. I live out of state and am trying to help
her remotely. When she deletes it asks if she wants to
send it to the recycle bin...she picks Yes...but is
unable to locate it to empty it, and it is slowing down
her computer. She doesn't recall having a bin since she
bought this computer. Any suggestions? I've had her
look in C drive, folders, My Computer..no luck

Have you look under Start Menu ? There should be a My Computer under that.

Open below URL (website) and click on "R" and scroll down to "Recycle Bin - Repair or Replace
