Where Is My "Identities" Folder in OE6?

My laptop backed up to an external hard drive using a backup program that
simply copied the laptop hard drive (no encryption or transformation to a
backup format; just plain old copying of files). When I reinstalled OE6 on
my new laptop hard drive, I wanted to import the old messages from the backup
hard drive. However, the path to messages is supposed to contain a path,
part of which should read: "\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\":
but this does not exist on my backup drive. There is no "Local Settings"
folder at all. Where else, then, can my old OE6 messages be? I am at a
complete loss to find these messages.

You are far more likely to receive an answer to your question if you
post in an Outlook Express group; this one is for the Microsoft Office
Outlook component, and not everybody here knows OE. For example
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.ie6_outlookexpress
