Where is it kept?

ok... I thought that backing up the windows directory
would be good enough when I wanted to format my drive and
bring back bits and pieces to rebuild my system. I did not
export any info to a *.pst or anything else. I beleive the
info is still there somewhere, but don't know how to
retrieve it. I tried restoring (Windows directoy) it to a
clean drive and reinstalling Win98SE, however the original
corruption popped up and I still couldn't get at Outlook
or Outlook Express to do any exporting. Please e-mail any
suggestions on how to extract this info from "both"
programs.

The Windows directory probably does not contain your data. See http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm for default file locations for Outlook data.
