I had an email folder titled Save. Recently due to hard drive corruption I
needed to reinstall Windows XP. Got through that ok but I would like to
restore the email folder "Save" from a backup file. I use PCBackuUP and
could get the folder if I new where it is located in the tree.

Can it be done?

Probably C:\Documents and Settings\Don Schmidt\Local
Settings\Application Data\Identities\{a lot of
characters}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Save.dbx

If not, then search for Save.dbx

....Alan

Alan, the Save file was right where you said it would be however after
doing a restore it didn't appear in the Local Folders list, even after a
rebooting.

Locate the file folders.dbx (it will be in your email folder) and
rename it to folders.old

Make sure that Outlook Express is closed when you do this.

Next time you start Outlook Express it will rebuild the folders.dbx
file and your Save file should now be listed.

Good luck
