I did hear ad-aware mentioned, also cookies--neither very positively, I'm
afraid. Laptop power circuitry faled leaving me dependent on another MVP to
charge my battery, so I'll be pretty quiet 'til I get back. Mikolaj is also
here, Mow Green (Steve Wechsler) Robear Dyer, Randy Knobloch, and about 1500
more--so my apologies if I've failed to name anyone. As the article
mentions--70 or more countries represented--quite an amazing group.

So, who is encharge of the store over here now?

Now here this....Now here this

To all the man in all battle station

Andy Manchesta is in charge of this store, and always
been.
Bill, Mikolaj, Mow Green (Steve Wechsler) Robear Dyer,
Randy Knobloch, and about 1500, can stay over there for a
long time.
Captain Andy and the XO Plun, can navigate this ship.

Thats very kind

You should of signed your name to let people know I
didn't write it :)

I'm sure the MVP's deserve thier break at Redmond after
all thier hard work

Im just one of many helpers on here, Andre, Plun, Alan,
Engel, Dave, Bob and all the rest deserve just as much
thanks for helping so many people and using thier free
time to help others!

Not forgetting Bill, Ron, Mikolaj, Steve, Randy and the
other MVP's either but they are away for now, hopefully
MS make it known they appreciate all the hard work them
guys do everyday then Bill's the captain again when he
returns :o)

Thanks for the vote anyway it made me laugh

Andy

;)

I agree !

But this damned Beta 1 is running on more then "overtime".

Too much trouble for newbies and normal users.

It´s time for Beta 2 now !

And Bill is of course a great captain for this "cat & rat" gang
with sometimes different opinions about how to clean spyware ;)
But this must be a "boiling meeting place" beacuse spyware is
so difficult to handle and users are so angry and frustrated when
his/hers PC is hijacked. This is probably the most difficult
newsgroup MS runs and also with major UI problems. Everything
meets within removing spyware hijacks.

One true MS way and one maybe faster non MS way with 3rd partys ;)
Nevertheless we have a common goal and nearly all users get some
help to solve a challenge.

I hereby nominate Andy as the MVP (most valuable player) in these newsgroup.

I'm sorry to hear that. Steve Gibson raised our awareness of the
adware/spyware problem with his OptOut program about 5 years ago. Since that
time LavaSoft has provided a free and exceptionly valuable service to the
internet community.
http://grc.com/oo/program.htm

As for cookies, perhaps we can arrange a merger of Google, AOL, MSN, and the
leading adware companies. Microsoft could then concentrate on providing a
safe and secure operating system without such a conspicuous conflict of
interest.
:-P

Enjoy yourself and pass on our greetings, best wishes, and appreciation to
each and every one of them.

Very respectfully,

Let him keep it here. :)

I and another million of user, can learn from the
Captain, the XO, and down the rank in file.

Engel

Engel was thinking very hard :

Engel

Hi Engel

I don´t like any ranks except with AndyManchesta which
is outstanding with his knowledge ;) and of course an oustanding
Captain for this battlefield.

But I am going to join Red Cross I believe and stand in a neutral zone
and just look ;)

Nope but maybe they are crossed...........

TM Beta 3 is much more fun to test then this old garbage.
Just installed it ;) 3 Beta versions within 3 weeks
and one interim, thats something for MS to beat ;)
Beta 1 for one year........... big <G>

Sorry Tom I knew Id forgot someone, I just realized I
forgot to include you as one of the many valued helpers
here, I personally think we all do well here, MVP's and
volunteers in these groups as we are all strong in
different area's and there isnt many questions on here we
cannot answer between us.

Some of our answers may not be appreciated by MS, Hijack
This log's gets deleted on the http side within a day on
here and are treated as spam so it does limit the options
when you know the best solution is seeing whats running
on the user's system before giving advise but its a MS
site so we have to respect thier decision to remove the
posts,

The intention and motive is to help people clean thier
systems and I'm sure when the beta is closer to release
time we will not have to use these other tools and fixes
so often but for now MSAS isnt that great with new
infections and isnt that fast in adding the definitions
for them so these other tools are required.

Plun wants to send me to India so I dont want to be the
Captain :) Im just part of the team and happy to help out
where I can.

Thanks

Andy
