1. Activation is not found in Accessories/System Tools - nor any place else.
2. Every time I boot I have to start 90% of my so-called "automatic"
services in order to get my printer going, enable my network and access the
internet. Other things probably are affected, but I haven't had time to
really check everything out. Getting to the internet, getting mail and
printing are essential to my daily business. It is a real pain in the ___
having to spend 10 minutes starting them all every time I have to boot, which
is often as I install software in the damned registry environment.
a. DCOM won't start at all - I get a timed out mesage.
b. MEDIA CENTER EXTENDER SERVICE won't start because the
depencdency is not started. The dependency is RPC call. It IS
started
c, MSCONFIG shows all services checked to start.
When I decided to leave "old Faithful" 2000 Pro, I though I was going to
find an even smoother way to go. Instead I'm just about convinced to go OS X
