Microsoft offered last week the download of build 5536 to 100.000 users.
RC1 (5600) will be available to public any day now, as insideBetaTesters do
have this build already since Sept.1st.
All the newer builds (5472 - 5600) can be activated with a legit Beta2 Key.
Build 5536 and 5600 do not need a Key for just installing them. They will run
then 14 days.
Also if no Key is entered you can choose from all Vista Editions ( Home
Basic, Home Premium, Business.. Ultimate etc ) .
Of course to activate each Version you will need the right key. You cannot
activate a Home-Premium with a Ultimate-Key.
But I like this feature for testing the different versions out.
Only very few people will buy the horribly expensive Ultimate, Home-Premium
seems in my eyes the right one for Aero-Glass,MediaCenter ,DVD Maker,
Handwriting and SpeechRecognition.
Home-Premium also does run FASTER than Ultimate, cause ist has fewer
services to run in the background.
