hi,

i just cant find my system32 folder inside c:\windows DIR. to get it, i
tried looking inside by command prompt also but it dosnt show up.

well, but here, it seems the other way.

in Explorer, when normally browsed, it's not there inside windows folder.
but but... when explicitly if i write C:\WINDOWS\system32, it shows me the
contents.

so, i know that its there but simply something has changed it to be hidden.
how can i bring it to view it normally. i just cant uncheck the hidden
attribut if i dont see the folder itself.

for INFO, i have enabled the tool->folder option->show hidden files and
folder.

oh yeah!! ran spybot S&D, ADware, and microsoft defender also but the
problem persists.

so what is the problem... pls advice.

If you are logged on as a local administrator you should be ale to change
file/folder attributes. Unless you really know what you are doing I would be
very careful messing around with the system folders as you could lose access to
logon to the computer. The attrib command can also be used to change file/folder
attributes. Use attrib /? to find syntax for that command. -- Steve
