where has cd writing wizrd gone?

can anyone tell me why when I put in a new cd I am asked to format, and then
each item i drag on is written one by one as I put it on? Before I used to
automatically get a cd writing wizard. this let me put them on the disc in a
waiting to be written section. When I was ready I clicked write files to cd
and they were written all in one batch, and also put in alpha order. I would
like this back if possible. Idiot proof answers please. If possible do not
just give me web addresses to look at. I just want the old way back. thanks

Perhaps you've installed Nero recently or some other disk-writing software?
