Yep found that out elsewhere tanks anyway.
ITS THIER they hide it well, NOWHERE near where the game is installed,

Actually, "Documents & Settings/username/Application Data" is the correct
place to put these things nowadays. Windows XP is designed to be multiuser,
so your game saves are tied to your user account. Means that others can use
the game on the PC without messing up your saves. It is also used to keep
your Temp Internet Files private from other users.
Beats putting them in "My Documents". I hate it when games clutter up that
area, especially as mine is on another machines network share!!
Next time you do a reinstall (about every 18 months it's required on
Windows!! ;-), make a backup of the entire Documents & Settings/username
directory. Make sure you have "hidden" and "system" files turned on. Best
way is to make a zip file of the lot and burn to CD, then you always have it
if you need to take a look back.
Or, if you are feeling brave, move your folder onto one of your other
drives, then it's not a problem when you upgrade/reinstall. You can't just
move it in explorer though, you'd need to google for the process to move a
user folder. I don't know how myself.
Or, as another idea, you could swap the drives around so that a different
one becomes the C: drive. Then you keep everything until you are happy that
your new install is 100% cool.
