Hello, we want to preset computers to have a PowerPoint file set as
'Favorites' so that the clients when choosing 'Insert Slides From File...'
automatically gets the right file in his 'selector' without having to browse
to it.

So, does anybody know how & where PowerPoint stores the 'Favorites' (is it a
file that can be replaced? - that would be perfect!)

Thanx!

For most versions of PowerPoint, the 'Insert slides from file' browse
location is hard-coded to start in My Documents. I'm sorry to say, without
using VBA to replace the function, there is no way to change the starting
location.

Consider instead, adding a shortcut to the location you want in My Documents
with a name that will list it first. For instance:

_My Slides (a shortcut that points to C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My
Documents\My Slides\Storage)
